Platinum Refining Recovery
Our platinum refining recovery process provides an economical and environmentally friendly precious metal recovery service. We receive platinum scrap and separate the pure platinum from other precious metals and waste materials. Our platinum refining recovery uses scrap such as platinum coins, palladium PD and platinum wire that’s weighed and then smelted. A sample is removed for assaying, which is the process of measuring the platinum content. We think platinum refining recovery assaying is critical for assuring customers who send platinum group metals to us that we fairly compensate them. For maximum accuracy, we use the Fire Assay and Inductively Coupled Plasma Spectrometry methods. The X-ray fluorescence method may also be used; it’s generally at the discretion of the lab staff at our platinum refining recovery center.
